① Guidance Room
You can watch videos of restoration work being done via touch screen panels and wall displays.
② Observation Area
You can watch restoration work being performed in the Restoration Rooms through windows. You can also see close-ups of the finished works on the touch panel displays.
③ Restoration Rooms
Restoration work of scrolls, folding screens and historical documents and more is performed here. A movable wall separates the room, which can be removed for restoration work on larger works.
④ Lacquerware Restoration Room
Room for lacquerware restoration. The inner room is for delicate finishing touches.
● Promotion activities
We have held various events such as special guide tour, experiential tour in summer vacation (for children), hands-on trial producing wheat starch paste in winter. We hope many people to have more interest in cultural properties.
